Create simple buttons

Paint Shop Pro has a filter called buttonize, which is similar to Deko Boko of Sucking Fish (a filter for PhotoShop). You can easily turn any image into a button by using buttonization. Nonethless, you may want to vary your buttons by inserting different backgrounds. In this example,
  • Create a new file with a dimension of 50 X 50.
  • Select a lighter color for the foreground color and a darker color for the background color.
  • Select the Fill tool.
  • In the Fill mode, select Rectangular Gradient.
  • Fill the image.
  • Select a light color for the foreground.
  • Select the Text tool and type some text.
  • Choose Select None from Selections
  • Apply Buttonize from Image/Effects and adjust the options.

The following is another variation
  • Create a new file with a dimension of 50 X 50.
  • Select a lighter color for the foreground color.
  • Select the Spray tool.
  • Select any Paper Pattern. In this example I used Mist.
  • Spray the image evenly.
  • Select a dark color for the foreground.
  • Select the Text tool and type some text.
  • Choose Select None from Selections
  • Apply Buttonize from Image/Effects and adjust the options.
