Salton
sea in California is an inland "sea" created by a flood in
1905. This closed basin traps all incoming minerals and thus its salt content is
even denser than that of the Pacific Ocean. This salty sea, which is a
haven of hundreds of species of birds, is called the "crown jewel of
Avian biodiversity." There were many birds when I visited the place. I
put just a few of them inside the frame for aesthetical reasons.
