The close-up of moths were taken with a Tamron macros lens. Originally I planned to take picture of butterflies, but it ended up that I have more pictures of moths that those of butterflies. Audubon Insectarim introduced their moth display with the header "Divine design". I was surprised because it is considered politically incorrect to say so in a science museum. According to Audubon, moths are often perceived as dull while butterflies usually get all the attention for their vibrant colors. But many moths are beautiful, too. Their diversity is also stunning. Moth species outnumber butterfly species by 15 to 1.
