Unlike a conventional zoo, Bearizona in Williams, AZ is a wildlife park in which animals live in open space instead of being locked inside a cage. Visitors can drive through the wilderness to see animals in a naturalistic setting, but we are not allowed to step outside the car or roll down the window. I regret that I didn't install a sunroof in my car. Bearizona opens in all seasons. The bears in the park do not hibernate in winter. They are well-fed and thus there is no need for them to shut down the system to preserve energy.
If you are chased by a bear, you cannot escape from it by climbing a tree. These pictures tell you why. On that day the grizzly bear climbed all the way up to the top of the tree but the black one could climb up about 30 feet only.
