Some photographers suggest using manual focusing (MF) instead of auto-focusing (AF), because it is very difficult to track a moving fish and to distinguish the foreground and the background from the subject while using AF. I tried MF for a while but later I swapped back to AF. In my experience, AF is still faster and more accurate than MF.
