There are many techniques that could recover the details in the over-exposed area. However, I like the mysterious atmosphere of the bright light outside the cave.

When I first saw the rock (see above), I immediately associated it with the picture entitled "The scream" painted by the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch in 1893. The image of "The scream" is in the US public domain because it was created more than 95 years ago. But it is protected by the copyright law in Norway until 2015.
