There are thee telescopes in the Mount Graham International Observatory: the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope (VATT), the Heinrich Hertz Submillimeter Telescope (for radio astronomy), and the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT). LBT is by far the world’s most powerful telescope, but it will be overshadowed by Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT) in the near future. The adaptive optics of the VATT, LBT, and GMT are made by the Steward Observatory Mirror Lab at the University of Arizona.
