Fremont is a region in Seattle, Washington. Due to its tradition of counterculture and unusual artistic landmarks, the place is also known as "The People's Republic of Fremont," "The Artists' Republic of Fremont," and "The Center of the Universe." Fremont Troll, an 18-foot fall sculpture under the Aurora Bridge, is one of the well-known landmarks in the district. Trolls are Scandinavian legendary giants living in caves or under bridges. But in my opinions the Fremont Troll is lovely rather than scary. Another interesting architecture in Fremont is Epic Building. At first glance it looks like an art institute or a museum, but actually it is an apartment complex.
