The panoramic picture of the West
Campus, Azusa Pacific University (top two) was created by merging
thirteen photos taken with a regular camera (Nikon D700) and a
        wide-angle lens (Sigma 15-20mm).
Needless to say, the end product has
ultra-high resolution. On the contrary, all the rest in this page were
generated by sub-standard equipment: a cell phone. Recently when I
attended a seminar in Los Angeles Convention Center, I was fascinated by
the geometrical design and the grandeur of the center. Unfortunately, I
didn't bring any regular camera with me at that time. What I had at hand was

a Motorola Droid phone only. I told myself, "Something is better than
nothing." True. The image quality of cell phone photos is poor. True.
The pin-hole lens is not wide enough to cover a large area of the scene.
Nevertheless, I took multiple pictures using the cell phone. After I put
many pictures together, I found that the resolution of those integrated
pictures is acceptable, and their view resembles an authetnic wide-angle
perspective. The moral of this story is: just do your best with limited
resources and you will be surprised.
