Since 2005, the Hawaii Foodbank has been orchestrating the annual Canstruction Competition, a remarkable event where teams, spearheaded by architects, builders, and allied design and engineering professionals, come together to compete while displaying their creative prowess. Their challenge is to craft colossal sculptures solely from canned foods.

In my work, I've distorted the images of these cans, a deliberate artistic choice that underscores the fragility and transient nature of reality. While the preceding distortions are a result of post-processing using software photo filters, some distortions occur in the scene, such as the diffused reflections on the glasses in the last three images on this page. As you continue through the subsequent pages, you'll encounter more distorted visuals.
