Amerigo Vespucci is hailed as the "pride of the Italian Navy" and regarded as the world’s most beautiful ship. Currently, the ship is on its second world tour, visiting 32 countries over two years. In late July 2024, it docked at Pier 9, adjacent to Honolulu's iconic Aloha Tower. Built in 1931, the ship completed its first world tour in 2002. It was named after the explorer who, in the 1500s, recognized Brazil as part of a new continent, which a cartographer later named America in his honor.
