Phoenix
Faerie Festival is held in mid November every year. As the name
implies, it is a celebration of the mythology of faerie, also known as
fairy. There are multiple sources about the origin of this folklore. One
of the beliefs is that fairies were demoted angels. When Satan and his
associates rebelled against God, God closed the gate of the Heaven. Those
loyal angels who still stayed in Heaven maintained the same identity.
Those fallen angels followed Satan became devils, and those caught in
between became fairies. While Christianity recognizes the existence of
angels, the tale of fairy is not a part of Christian beliefs.
Nevertheless, many backyards of American homes are decorated by both angel
and fairy statures. In

Dances and other performances were held throughout the two-day festival.
