In the US pop culture, pin-up images are cut-out pieces from newspapers, magazines, or postcards. As the name implies, these images are intended for informal display only. Nonetheless, today it became a nostalgic style of photography. Because usually the pin-up models wear 1920s-1950s vintage clothing, this style is also known as retro photography.
