Glendale Glitter and Glow Block Party is an unusual event. Rather than
holding the event during the Christmas and New Year holidays, Glendale
pushed it after the holidays. In the party 1.5 million lights and over 20
glowing balloons spread across Historic Downtown Glendale. It is fun to take
picture of these balloons along with street signs, traffic lights, and store
signs. Although sometime these objects hindered me from obtaining a clear
view of the balloon, this mismatch creates a surprising effect. The last two
pictures are almost the same except that one was taken when the traffic
light was green, and the other was red.
