Notes |
Some may say it is a poor picture because it does not represent the essence of the Columbia icefield. The sun is too dominant and thus the icefield is not noticeable. Actually I focused on another theme: the contrast between the sun and the ice. |

Notes |
The picture results from good timing. If I had visited Rainer in winter, everything would have been covered by snow. If I had gone there in summer, the ice would have been melted down. In May it is warm enough to keep the stream running but cold enough to maintain the surrounding snow. |
