These photos were taken at Desert Valley Auto Parts in Phoenix, Arizona
during a field trip organized by AZ HDR Photography Club. HDR stands
for "High Dynamic Range," a technique that merges different exposures into
a single image. Not only can this approach cover the exposures ranging
from very dark to very bright, but also it equips the photographer with
the creative tool called "grunge." I learned this technique from the club
coordinator, Toni Vaughan and like it very much. As you see, "grungized"
images have a surrealistic look.
