Oak Alley Plantation is a plantation located in
Louisiana. It is also called the "Grande Dame of the Great River Road"
because it is next to the Mississippi River. The plantation was built in
the early 18th century and now it is a National Historic Landmark. It is
so named because there is an alley of 300-year-old oaks leading to the
plantation. However, I didn't take a picture facing the plantation because
there is always a crowd of tourists. The view from the second level of the
plantation, though it is facing the road, is even more spectacular.
