Skagit Valley is about 60-mile away from Seattle,
Washington. The farmers in the valley raise tulips as an agricultural
crop, and every April the 100-acres of blooming flowers attract visitors
from all over the world (In 2011 there were visitors from 51 counties
outside the US). However, Washington is a very rainy state and thus
whether you can see the blossom or not highly depends on chances. I was
lucky that the day I stopped by Skagit Valley was partly cloudy. There
is no central location for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival; rather,
there are numerous Tulip farms. But seeing one or two should be enough
because just like seeing everything else, at some point it becomes
saturated.
