Title Red I and II Date 2005 Jan Location O'ahu, Hawaii Equipment Nikon CoolPix 5000 Note That was a rainy day and thus the sky was gray. Usually this type of weather condition is bad for photography. Nevertheless, the red plant pop out sharply in front of a gray background. Moreover, the droplets on the plant makes it look fresh. In the second picture I altered the hue of the sky in order to create a quasi-monochromatic harmony.
Title Hairy Date 2005 Jan Location Kaua'i, Hawaii Note I hiked to the top of a trail in Wailua River State Park, but found no scenic view there. When I was about to give up, I saw this interesting plant in the parking lot.
