The window of opportunities for capturing the fall colors is very
narrow. Trees in the west entrance of Zion National Park were colorful
in mid October whereas the peak of fall colors in Cedar Break were
within late September to mid October. But when I went there in early
November, the show was over, of course. Fortunately, plants in the east
part of Zion were still patiently waiting for me. They didn't want to
take off their gorgeous garments until their once-in-a-year beauty had
been appreciated by some artists.
