If I tell you that snow was everywhere around these aspen trees, will you believe it? It is true. In late October most aspen trees are barren. I drove back and forth I-180 and at last found these "survivors."

This is the last picture that I took on Oct. 24, 2004. After hiking up and down the Sunset Trail and found nothing interesting, I decided to leave. On my way back, I saw this tree and realized that beauty could be simplicity.
