Pamukkale (“cotton castle" in Turkish) is southwestern
Turkish that is well-known for its hot springs and travertines. Although
similar geological formations can also be seen in Yellow Stone, USA, in my
opinions the cotton castle is better than Yellow Stone. First, Pamukkale is
much bigger. Second, visitors are allowed to walk on the travertine terrace in Pamukkale
without shoes, and therefore it was easier for me to get better angles for
photography.
