Note | In a conventional front view portrait, a clear view is preferable and therefore the shadow on the bride's face is minimized by placing the bride under direct sunlight. Usually an Asian subject having black hair and wearing white clothing runs a risk of producing a highly contrast photo in which the white area loses detail. However, for my bride I deliberately overexposed the white area to create an "angelic look". |

Note | A portrait with closed eyes and tilted-down head is unconventional. This posture gives a relaxing and also a "mystical" feel. To enhance the mystical feel, I didn't use a flash in order to leave the shadow on the bride's face. |

Note | The approach of taking this picture is similar to that of the previous one except that the bride further tilted down her head and a very thin veil covered her face in order to intensify the mystical feel. |
