In Polynesian and Māori mythology, Tiki is often considered the first human or a semi-divine ancestor. Throughout the South Pacific, numerous tourist attractions incorporate "Tiki" in their names, reflecting the cultural significance of this concept in the region. The performances at the Tiki Cultural Center bear similarities to those I've experienced in Hawaii and New Zealand, showcasing a common thread of Polynesian cultural expressions across these diverse locations. Through vibrant movements and traditional choreography, the dancers bring to life the stories, legends, and cultural heritage of their ancestors
