Bear Canyon: Natural Sculpture

Santa Cruz Island: Atypical landscape

The first two pictures were taken in Bear Canyon, La Canada. At first my friend and I aimed to see the Switzer falls at the end of the trail, but the amount of water is very low in summer. Nevertheless, the fallen tree in front of the tiny falls is a wonderful natural sculpture. The second set of photos was taken in Santa Cruz island, Channel Island National Park. The rocks there are very colorful due to their rich minerals. The vibrant colors could also be seen in Painted Cave, the world's deepest and largest sea cave. The ship was moving and thus taking a sharp picture under the dimmed light is impossible. Nevertheless, the motion of the ship made a zoom effect as shown above. This is a feature, not a bug!
