The red car on the roof in Williams, AZ is not a real car, but DeSoto's Salon and Barber Shop in Ash Fork has a real classic vehicle on the roof. In the past the building was a gas station. It was renovated in 2001 as a salon and gift shop. To reach DeSoto's Salon, take Exit 146 on I-40. Needless to say, when you enter the town, you won't miss it!

The last photo on this page was taken in Cottonwood, which is not a part of Route 66. Nonetheless, I found the classic gas station very interesting.
