Although the complex of Watts Towers is a unique landmark in Los Angeles, many people are afraid of going there because the neighborhood round the Watts Towers is considered unsafe. Nevertheless, I visited the Watts Towers without facing any threat. My strategy was: go there directly and do not make any stop along the route. The site is highly artistic and, in some sense, surrealistic, and thus I used many painterly effects in this set of photos.
