Acoma is the oldest continuously native settlement in the United States. The origin of Acoma might be Chaco Canyon and Mesa Verde. Around 1150 AD Acoma migrated to a valley in today's south New Mexico and built the "Sky City" above the valley. The last photo on this page shows a Spanish mission inside the Sky City. The rainbow was so faint that it was hardly detected by naked eyes. My wife saw it first and I rushed to her position to take the picture before it went away. Pictures taken in the sky city are restricted to personal use only and thus please do not ask me for a copy.
