Acoma is the oldest continuously native settlement in the United
States. The origin of Acoma might be Chaco Canyon and Mesa Verde.
Around 1150 AD Acoma migrated to a valley in today's south New
Mexico and built the
"Sky City"
above the valley. The last photo on this page shows a Spanish
mission inside the Sky City. The rainbow was so faint that it
was hardly detected by naked eyes. My wife saw it first and I
rushed to her position to take the picture before it went away.
