If you want to photograph spectacular Christmas lights, I strongly recommend West Natal Circle in Mesa (near West Guadalupe and South Extension roads). The residents of West Natal Circle have been carrying on this tradition for the past 16 years. It is so famous that sometimes tour buses dropped people off as an event. The display is in a residential area; needless to say viewing is free. I prefer this location to those drive-thru, paid Christmas light displays, because in W. Natal Circle I can walk on my pace and thus I take more time to take pictures. This year I arrived at the site around 4:45 PM. because I like to capture both the Christmas lights and the twilight.
