June-July 2021

The last four photos showing “UFO clouds” were taken at Denali National Park. These are called lenticular clouds because of their lenses-like shape. Lenticular clouds are formed when strong and moist winds blow over rough terrain, such as the Alaska Range in Denali National Park and Preserve. To be more specific, when air flows along the surface of the earth and encounters an obstruction (e.g. a tall mountain), the air flow is disrupted and then moisture in the air is condensed to form lenticular clouds. No aliens landed on that day!
