As mentioned before, the bumpy ride during the air tour at Denali National Park caused a minor injury when my face hit the camera. Besides the vibration, there are other challenges to aerial photography. One of the major obstacles is the airplane window, which can severely affect the image quality. I tried to mount a circular polarizer on the lenses in an attempt to cut down the reflection from the window, but it didn’t work. Before the flight I asked the company whether I could open the window during the flight, and the answer was resounding “no,” of course. Nevertheless, I managed to get some good photos by post-processing in PhotoShop.
