While Te Puia Geothermal Park in New Zealand is considerably smaller than Yellowstone National Park in the US, it is home to Pōhutu Geyser (the first photo), the largest active geyser in the Southern Hemisphere. Situated in the Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley, Rotorua, Pōhutu Geyser erupts up to twenty times per day, reaching heights of up to 30 meters (98 feet).

It's worth noting that New Zealand was once home to the world's tallest geyser, Waimangu Geyser, erupting at an impressive 525 feet (160 meters). However, due to a landslide causing changes in the water table, Waimangu Geyser is no longer active, and it was dethroned by Steamboat Geyser in Yellowstone, which reaches a height of 387 feet (118 meters).
