Yeager Canyon

The leafs of Aspen trees in fall have one color only--yellow. But there are many Arizona White Oak trees and other kinds of trees throughout Yeager Canyon. In reaction to the cold weather, they turn to orange, yellow and red. Although I could see them along the road, it was not possible for me to stop the car in the middle of the freeway to take pictures. The only way was to pull the car aside when I left the mountain via the dirt road. At that moment I had to take extra caution to protect my camera because the dirt road was very dusty, especially when other vehicles passed by.

Yeager Canyon, Mingus Mountain is located between Jerome and Presceott, Arizona. But getting there is an adventure. Although there is a sign showing "Mingus Recreational," which is next to a paved parking lot. But hikers must drive on a dirt road to the mountain and half of the team were lost in spite of receiving the direction in advance. During the hike, we also made several wrong turns. Nevertheless, the view of fall colors made the efforts worth.
