Sandia Peak is near Albuquerque in New Mexico.
To get there travelers can ride on the world's longest tramway
that climbs to 10,378 feet (3,255 m). Unfortunately, the
windows of the cable cars are tinted and thus I was not unable
to take any usable photos during the ride. Nevertheless, the
frozen plants on the peak are beautiful and picturesque.
Although you can still see "white" plants in a lower
elevation, in the mountain the fog throws all backgrounds away
from the subject matter, and also generates a mystical tone. The
first four pictures on this page were taken in Sandia Peak whereas the
one below was captured in the city.
