During
the winter season several frozen falls could be found in Banff National
Park,
Albert, Canada, such as the Upper Falls and the Lower Falls in Johnston
Canton.
As you see, some brave adventurers climbed up the frozen waterfalls. I
am
conservative and therefore I did hiking only. Nonetheless, hiking there
is still
challenging and special shoes are required for walking on slippery ice. I used a pair of spike protector to improve
traction. In every step the spike punches into the icy ground and then
pulls
out for the next step. Needless to say, it is a very tiring process.
