The Holei Sea
Arch inside Hawaii Volcanoes
National Park, offers a
breathtaking view of the ocean's
natural architecture. However,
this magnificent seascape is
subject to the inevitable forces
of erosion and won't remain in
its current state indefinitely.
Upon our arrival, a park ranger
at the visitor center
recommended that we make our way
to the arch sooner rather than
later, hinting that it might not
be the same by our next visit.
On the Big Island lies a hidden
gem, somewhat similar to
Oregon's Thor's Well yet on a
smaller scale, located at
Wawaloli Beach Park. It's a
coastal sinkhole, drawing less
attention possibly due to its
size, and you won't find it
highlighted on mainstream tour
sites. My discovery of this
hidden spot came about through
conversations and visits to
local art galleries, showcasing
the value of exploring beyond
the well-trodden path..
