Last year Arizona was so rainy that the view of Chocolate Falls
was unusually spectacular. However, in Spring 2009 the falls shrinks
substantively due to lack of water. I hiked with several energetic
young men who never gave up. They insisted to explore the falls, and
our persistence was rewarded. Last year we could not get close to the
bottom of falls because the edge was muddy, but this year we were able
to climb up to the middle section. The photo above was taken in the
heart of the falls.
