Vulture Mine

Wickenburg Arizona

Ghost Town

The Vulture Mine, found by Henry Wickenburg in 1863, was a mining settlement in Arizona, USA. From 1863 to 1942 more than 5000 people were attracted to the area by the gold rush, and later a town named after Wickenburg was developed near the mine. In its heyday the Vulture Mine was the most productive gold mine in Arizona history. During its operation, it produced gold worth more than 200 million dollars.
