In addition to the Preston Castle, we also stopped by the old town of Ione. The population of Ione was as small as 7918, according to the 2010 census. This type of small towns is characterized by old style buildings. A person in the town told us that some buildings remain unchanged for over a hundred years. Later we visited Groveland, another small town in California. How small is it? There were 540 residents only. The last photo on this page was taken at Escalante, Utah.
