The cowboys in these photos are not actors and the scenery was not staged. They are real and spontaneous! The cowboy is the symbol of America West Culture depicted in Hollywood movies. Today you can still see them in many places, such as Texas, Utah, and Kansas. When my friends and I finished hiking in Escalante, Utah, a herd of cows blocked the dirt road. During the first few minutes I hoped they could go away as soon as possible. But later I realized that this was a photo-op. At that time, I controlled the steering wheel with one hand while taking pictures of the scene with another hand. Fortunately, my car didn’t hit any cattle.
