December 2021

In December 2021 snow and rain pummeled the Western part of the US while heat wave swept the Eastern state. People in Washington, Oregon, North California, Nevada, and Utah experienced a truly white Christmas. Even though the road condition was dangerous, we managed to travel across several national parks, including Great Basin, Bryce, and Zion. Our rental car is a 4X4 Jeep Compass TrailHawk, which is equipped with the Selec-Terrian Traction Management System for different hazard conditions, including the snow, sand, mud, and rock modes. In addition, we used ice-cleats for hiking on slippery snow trails. Unlike cameras and lenses, this type of travel equipment is not directly to photography. But this tour would not have been possible had these supporting systems been absent.
