The White Pocket is just 10 miles away from Coyote Buttes North
(The Waves) and 6 miles away from Coyote Buttes South. However,
while many people are attracted by Coyote Buttes, the "White
Pocket" is rarely visited or even unknown by most hikers. One of
the reasons is that driving to the White Pocket is challenging.
The deep sand road will stop most cars except SUVs, jeeps, and
trucks. In a rainy or snowy day, the road is impassable to even
the aforementioned vehicles. In order to ensure safety, our team
were equipped with three SUVS and also various types of off-road
rescue equipment. After arriving at the head of the dirt road, we
reduced the tire pressure for increasing traction. By God's grace
we reached the destination after a bumpy ride. Is it worth taking
