It is important to point out that the bright white pockets may
fool your camera meter. As a precautionary measure, it is better
to bracket the exposures. Later I could either pick the best
exposure or merge several exposures together to generate high
dynamic range (HDR) images. Some photographers like to brighten up
the white pockets, but I prefer to use the snow as the reference
point for my white balance and keep the white pockets gray.
