Wild Goose Island is a lone island in St. Mary Lake, Glacier National Park. The outlook to Wild Goose Island is a popular site for viewing sunrise. No wonder the community which is one mile away from the outlook is called Rising Sun. Fortunately, I stayed in a cabin of Rising Sun Motor Inn. I got up at 5:00 am and it took just 5 minutes to reach the outlook. When I arrived at the site, there had already been six cars in the parking and thus I had to act quickly to get a good spot. The first two pictures in this page were taken in the evening and all the rest were captured during sunrise.
